Acadia National Park is an American national park located in the state of Maine, southwest of Bar Harbor. It is located in Hancock & Knox counties, Maine and it covers an area of about 49,075 acres (198.60 km2). It was established on July 8, 1916.

Cadillac mountain offers the best view with its majestic dominance over the surrounding areas. The view at sunrise and sunset is breathtaking. they say Cadillac mountain gets the first sunrise in the US In the fall and winter.
Visit Sand Beach
Sand beach is really what the name says, it has beautiful clear water, great sand, great picnic area for the family but the water is freezing even in the middle of summer. swimming in spring and fall is definitely out of the question for me.

Visit Jordan Pond
Need some exercise? just want to relax or clear your mind, walking around Jordan pond will do that to you. It took us about 2 hours to walk the 3.2 miles around Jordan Pond.

Walk, bike or ride a horse on Carriage Roads
John D. Rockefeller financed the production of 57 miles of carriage roads in Acadia. No cars are allowed on these roads but you can Walk, bike or ride a horse on it. you can also ride in a horse-drawn carriage along the roads but you have to book in advance to be guaranteed a spot. We tried to go on a horse-drawn carriage ride but it was completely booked.
